the African areas of Egypt and Libya to the
south and west, Macedon and Thrace
to the North and west, and
to the Indus River in the East.

The Persian Empire eventually expanded to rule over significant portions of the ancient world around 500 B.C.E. The significant portions stretched from the Indus Valley in the east, to northeastern border of Greece and eventually , reaching out to India and Egypt making it the biggest empire the world had yet seen.
