Parsi
Parsi was the language that was created by the Parsa people who ruled Persia from 550-330 B.C.E.Parsi is part of the Indo-Iranian language group. The Parsi language was not only spoken in India, it was also spoken in India all the way to Russia. Parsi is an Arabic form of Farsi. Over time the language itself has greatly evolved. During the Achaemenid era Old Persian was spoken by the tribe who created it, the Hakahmaneshinian. During the Sasanian Era (Pahlavi) the Middle Persian language was spoken. Many religious works of literature were obtained from that era. Classical Persian did not emerge at a specific time period. This form of Persian combined the roots of Persian, Pahlavi, and Avesta and was portrayed in classical works of literature like poems and writings, in general. As the original Parsi language evolved into modern times, now called Farsi. The Farsi language no longer includes words that originated from the Indo-Iranian language group. Modern terminology from England and France, etc. have been incorporated within the Farsi language and are fairly recognizable. The Arabic language has impacted the Farsi language and now there are many more words of German descent. The reason European words have come into play with the Farsi language is because there are no words included in the Farsi language to describe some phrases or terms. For instance today, the word 'Merci' (Thanks) has been ingrained into the Farsi language and the Iranian peoples do not consider it foreign. Apparently, the interference of the Arabic language with the Parsi language has been somewhat more of a blessing than a curse because some authentic Parsi terms have been replaced by Arabic words and completely eradicated from the language itself. The Khordeh Avesta, the Zoroastrianism religious book, has even been affected by the incorporation of Arabic terms because these new words have even been added to the pages of this sacred Persian/Iranian book.
